These puff pastry rolls are filled with gruyere cheese and chorizo. They are a delicious snack and can also be served at breakfast.

Ingredients

6 portions
  • puff pastry
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons sage
  • salt
  • 8 ounces sausage, cooked and shredded
  • 3/4 cups Gruyere cheese, grated

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 Fahrenheit or 180 Centigrade.
Put the puff pastry on a floured surface and with a roller form a rectangle of 33x20 cm. With a brush, varnish all the puff pastry with the melted butter, leaving a border of 1 cm. wide on the sides.
Mix finely chopped salvia with salt and sausage. Put this mixture on the puff pastry (leaving the edge with nothing). Sprinkle the cheese on top.
Starting with the long side of the rectangle, roll the filled puff pastry. Seal the edges.
With a knife, slice 12 1.5 cm slices, removing the edges.
Place on a baking sheet, buttered and floured, and cook the rolls for 25 minutes, until golden brown.
