Hummus is a very rich dip of mediteraneos origins made with chickpea, sesame paste, lemon and olive oil.

Ingredients

10 portions
  • 450 grams chickpea, in a can or flask
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 cups olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons tahini, (sesame paste)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 tablespoons paprika
  • to taste coarse salt

Preparation

In a food processor, purée the garbanzo, add the garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, tahini, cumin and salt and process until it is creamy.
Remove from the processor place on a plate and put a little olive oil and paprika before serving.

PRESENTATION

Accompany with pita bread.

TIPS

Tahini (sesame paste) can be found in Arab stores.
