These baked meat empanadas are a great dish that you can use as a snack or as a main course. The meat filling of these empanadas has a different touch thanks to the marinade of dried chilies and if you accompany them with a parsley sauce, the flavors will stand out. Follow the step by step and so that they do not break, avoid putting a lot of juice when filling them.

Ingredients

2 servings
  • 1/4 of piece of onion tatemada, for the marinade
  • 1 clove of garlic tamed, for the marinade
  • 2 pieces of guajillo chili pepper deveined and soaked, for marinade
  • 1 piece of ancho chili pepper deveined and soaked, for marinade
  • 1 teaspoonful of cumin for the marinade
  • 1 teaspoonful of oregano for the marinade
  • 1 Cup of orange juice
  • to taste of Salt
  • to taste of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of White vinegar for the marinade
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 500 grams of beef in small cubes, for filling
  • 1 Cup of tomato poached and diced, for filling
  • 1/2 Cup of onion filleted, for filling
  • 1/2 Cup of beef broth for the filling
  • enough of flour for the mass
  • 1 kilo of puff pastry for the mass
  • 1 egg for the mass
  • to taste of sauce parsley

    Preparation

    Blend the onion, garlic, chili peppers, oregano, cumin, orange juice, salt, pepper and vinegar.
    In a pan over medium heat add the oil, cook the onion until they have a bright tone, add the tomato, the meat, the sauce and leave it until golden brown; Add the beef stock, cover and cook until the meat is soft. Cool and reserve.
    On a floured surface, spread the puff pastry dough to approximately 3 mm thick and with the help of a 10 cm round cutter, cut the discs.
    Place two tablespoons of the meat just in the middle of each disk, leaving the edges free. With the help of a brush, varnish the edges with the egg, close and with a fork press the edges. Bake 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
    Serve with parsley sauce.

    PRESENTATION

    Accompany with parsley sauce and consume them hot.

    TIPS

    Fill without much juice, so that when baking the pie does not break due to moisture.
