Prepare this salty version of the Christmas tree trunk. This Christmas Sandwich Cake is a perfect dish for enjoying a Christmas with children. This recipe is filled with a creamy Russian salad. To prepare it you need ingredients that are easy to get. Enjoy this Christmas Sandwich Cake! This version is made with white bread, but if you want it to be healthier, you can use whole grain bread and substitute normal mayonnaise with light mayonnaise. Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken, cooked and shredded
  • 1 cup potato, Cooked and diced
  • 1 cup pea, cooked
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • enough salt
  • enough black pepper
  • 30 slices box bread, without crusts
  • 20 slices Ham
  • 20 slices yellow cheese
  • 2 packages cream cheese, for the covering
  • 1 cup sour cream, for the covering
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder, for the covering
  • 1 teaspoon salt, of celery, for the covering
  • 1 red pepper, to decorate
  • enough chinese parsley, to decorate

Preparation

In a bowl, mix the chicken with the potatoes, the carrots, the peas, the mayonnaise and season with salt and pepper. Reserve.
For the assembly, on adhesive plastic, place the slices of bread as a base, slightly pressing the edges together with a roller, so that they stick together.
Place the slices of ham, the slices of cheese, the Russian salad and roll with the help of plastic wrap, refrigerate for 1 hour.
For the covering, beat the cream cheese with the sour cream, the garlic, the salt and season with pepper. Refrigerate if necessary.
With a very sharp knife, cut strips of pepper peel and roll up into a rose shape.
On a wooden board, cut 1/3 of the roll diagonally, and arrange so as to simulate the tree trunk.
Cover the trunk with the cream cheese dip. With the help of a fork, draw lines to decorate and give texture. Garnish with the pepper rose and parsley.

PRESENTATION

On a black slab, decorated with a pepper rose and Chinese parsley.

TIPS

Peg down the edges of the bread very well so that it does not open when rolled. If this happens, you can peg them down with the creamy dressing.
