Ingredients

12 portions
  • 600 grams flour
  • 150 milliliters Water, tibia
  • 50 milliliters white wine
  • 10 grams yeast
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon paprika, Red
  • 60 milliliters olive oil
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 Bell pepper
  • 9 tomatoes
  • 7 cans tuna in oil
  • 2 cloves garlic

Preparation

How to make Tuna and bell pepper pie step by step: Peel the tomatoes to crush them. We reserve Cut the onions into squares and add the brown sugar. Cook it covered in the microwave for about 3 minutes. If it has not been cooked enough we add a couple of minutes more. Put olive oil in a saucepan and add the chopped garlic. When the garlic is golden, add the tomatoes and a little salt. We let the tomato sauté and when it is already cooked we will put the two tablespoons of fried tomato. Then add the chopped onion and the juice that has released the onion. Desmenuzamos the tuna and add it to the casserole, we also put the pepper cut into small pieces. We will remove it so that it is integrated and we will let it sauté all together for about three more minutes. We will strain the filling and squeeze it, since the broth that has been left will be used to make the pie dough. We put the flour in a large bowl. We make a volcano in the center and put in the water, the white wine, a teaspoon of sweet red paprika, the salt and the crumbled baker's yeast. We also add three tablespoons of the broth that we have reserved. We will knead with our hands until everything is well integrated. If we see that the dough is too dry we will add a little more broth.
We put some flour on the table and continue kneading with your hands. To know when the dough is ready, we make a small ball and then a cylinder and if it does not break is that it is ready. Let the covered dough rest with a cloth for about 45 minutes, until the volume is doubled. We separate the dough into two parts, and from one of the two parts we keep a small portion for decoration. The bottom part has to be a little bigger than the one above. We flatten it with the roller, taking into account that it has to be a little thicker than the top part, since having the weight of the filling could break. We put baking paper in the oven tray and extend the dough. Put the stuffing and spread it by the dough leaving the edges free of dough. Then put the other part of dough that we will also flattened with the rolling pin and close the pie doubling the bottom edges. We will decorate the pie making a few strips forming squares, and we painted the whole top with beaten egg. We preheated the oven to 200º Celsius above and below. Let it cook for about 30 minutes, until it is golden brown. I advise you to watch the video for a better understanding of everything explained.
