If you want to surprise your family with a traditional recipe from Spain, this recipe is for you. Delicious Spanish potato omelette cut into squares. ideal for a snack or as a side dish accompaniment.

4 portions
  • 3 potatoes, median
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon chicken consommé
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste


Cook the potatoes in enough water until when introducing a knife in some, leave without difficulty; drain them, peel them and cut them into cubes; reservation.
In a bowl beat the eggs with the cream and the consommé until they are integrated; reservation.
Heat oil in a large skillet, add the onion and when it is acitronada integrate the potatoes, season with salt and pepper and cook until lightly browned.
Pour the egg mixture so that it covers the potatoes, cover the container and lower the heat.
Cook 10 minutes or until the egg begins to set; with the help of a dish turn the tortilla to cook on the other side.
Remove from heat, remove the tortilla in a platter and cut it into bite-sized cubes.


Cut the tortilla into 2x2 cm squares. Place a toothpick on each square and serve on an extended plate.


If you wish, accompany with hot sauce or the dressing of your choice (mayonnaise, mustard).
