6 portions
  • 2 puff pastry, frozen
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 leek
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 egg
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste

We divide the onion, the carrot, the leek and the pepper all in strips, and in a pan sauté the vegetables. We start by putting the onion, then the leek, then the carrot and finally the pepper.
When the vegetables are almost ready, we take them out and pass them through a sieve to remove the excess oil.
We cut the puff pastry with the shape of the fir tree or any other Christmas form that we want. We put it on a baking tray and spread the vegetables in the puff pastry. We cut another equal shape and put it on top to cover the vegetables.
We beat the egg and we give it with a brush over it so that it comes out with shine and we put it in the oven that we have it at 180º only from the bottom. When we see that the puff pastry is already done, the last 2 minutes we can put it with the oven also on top to make it brown a little.

Serve on the baking tray.

To work the puff pastry more easily, it must be very cold.
