The Tehineh is an Arabic dip and is used to accompany Arabic bread, meat dishes and dishes in general.

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 1/2 cups tahini, (ground sesame paste)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons sea salt
  • 1/2 cups lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon pinon nuts

Preparation

In a food processor combine garlic and coarse salt. Add the tahini and the lemon juice and process.
Remove from the processor and place in a bowl. Season with the cumin and salt to taste. The taste should be sesame seeds with an acid touch.

PRESENTATION

Decorate the dip with parsley, olive oil, pine nuts and paprika.

TIPS

The Tahini can be found in Arab shops.
