Venezuelan Arepas Stuffed with Ham and Cheese

Recipe for some delicious easy and fast arepas, they work perfect as an excellent breakfast very nutritious or as a delicious dinner. You decide how and when to eat them.

Ingredients

  • 300 grams of cornmeal precooked
  • 2 spoonfuls of Butter
  • to taste of Salt
  • 300 milliliters of Water
  • 1 1/2 cups of cheese grated
  • 100 grams of Ham

    Preparation

    In a bowl or bowl add cornmeal and salt.
    Mixture; add water and butter.
    Mix until you have a homogeneous mass, in case you lack water add more; After obtaining a dough more or less with the consistency of a cookie dough but not so elastic, take a portion of the size you want the arepa and make a ball and flatten to get the desired shape.
    Place the arepas on the griddle with a little oil until golden brown on both sides.
    Cut the arepa horizontally and fill with the ham and cheese of your choice.
