Ingredients

6 portions
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cups celery
  • 1/4 cups green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 cups chives, chopped
  • 1 pound crab meat
  • 1/4 cups parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 3/4 cups ground bread, without flavoring
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/2 cups mayonnaise

Preparation

Melt butter over medium heat, add onion, celery, garlic peppers and scallions, season with salt and cayenne pepper to make the vegetables soft, about 5 minutes. Allow to cool 10 minutes
Mix the crab meat with the parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, mayonnaise, egg, mustard and bread crumbs. Add more ground bread until the desired consistency.
Add the previously cooked vegetables
Make the crab cakes or crab cakes (balls of dough) and put on baking tray
Bake at 180 degrees for 15 or 20 min. and put under the broil for 5 min. to brown (But keep an eye on it in a moment they can burn).

TIPS

Serve with a chipotle mayonnaise. Accompany this dish with a Chardonnay wine.
