Delicious Tuna with Biscayne

This recipe is ideal to replace the cod with rich and economic tuna in oil prepared in the Vizcaya style, with the touch of spices such as laurel, thyme and clove. Güero peppers, almonds and potatoes, this preparation is ideal if you are a tuna lover and you want to prepare it to give it a Christmas touch.

Ingredients

  • 2 spoonfuls of olive oil
  • 1/4 of piece of onion finely chopped
  • 2 teeth of Garlic finely chopped
  • 1 Cup of tomato in cubes and without seeds
  • 1 Cup of Tomato puree
  • 2 cups of canned tuna drained
  • 2 leaves of laurel
  • 1 teaspoonful of thyme
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of ground clove
  • 4 pieces of chile güero chopped
  • 1/4 of Cup of almond peeled
  • 1/4 of Cup of boneless olive and sliced
  • 2 pieces of potato in small cubes, cooked
  • 1 teaspoonful of Salt
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of Pepper

    Preparation

    For the tuna, in a pan over medium heat cook the onion with olive oil until it is transparent. Add the garlic and cook a few more minutes.
    Add the tomato, cook 5 minutes, add the tomato puree and then incorporate the tuna, spices and chilies. Cook around 10 minutes. Add the almonds, the olives, the potatoes and season with salt and pepper.
    Cook the filling until the liquid is completely dry, remove the bay leaves and reserve.
    Serve with güeros chiles and accompany with bread.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve on a platter and decorate with güero peppers and olives.

    TIPS

    You can use tuna in water or oil, the one you like the most.
