The classic botanera recipe from England. Fish and potatoes is a simple and delicious recipe.

Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1 kilo of potato peeled and cut into thick strips
  • 2 vegetable oils
  • 1 Cup of flour
  • 1 Cup of beer
  • 2 egg whites beaten
  • 4 Fish fillets cut into strips
  • Salt

    Preparation

    Place all the oil in a pan or large pot and heat until it is 160 degrees Celsius or when placing a potato begins to bubble.
    Cook the potatoes in the oil until they are soft but not fully cooked, about 4 minutes. Remove from the oil and dry with blotting paper towels.
    Mix the flour and beer in a deep bowl. Add the egg whites to the bowl and whisk with a balloon whisk.
    Pass the fish strips and potatoes through the flour mixture and fry in the hot oil until golden brown.
    Remove from the oil and dry with paper towels.

    PRESENTATION

    Accompany with ketchup and tartar sauce.

    Hola Diana, si los quieres hacer al horno, sigue el mismo procedimiento y al final agrega un poco de aceite en aerosol y hornea. Saludos :D

    wow!!! me encanta esta receta tratare de hacerla en el horno, yo se que no queda igual pero tendra menos grasa. Eso espero
