Nopal Soup with Tinga Tuna

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 2 tablespoons vegetal oil, for the beans
  • 3 tablespoons onion, finely chopped, for the beans
  • 2 chile de árbol peppers, cut into slices, for the beans
  • 1 cup bean, January, for the beans
  • 1/4 cups Cotija cheese, for the beans
  • 2 tablespoons vegetal oil, for the tuna tinga
  • 1 cup onion, filleted, for the tuna tinga
  • 3 envelopes Herdez® tuna tinga, 75 g, for the tuna tinga
  • 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, for the tuna tinga
  • 4 nopales, baby
  • enough olive oil, for the tuna tinga
  • enough lettuce, To accompany
  • enough cream, To accompany
  • enough cheese, To accompany
  • enough green sauce, To accompany

Preparation

In a skillet over low heat, sauté the onion, add the chile de arbol, the beans and with the help of a masher, mash the beans; cook for 5 minutes. Add the cheese, mix and cook for 3 more minutes. Remove from heat and reserve.
For the tuna tinga, in a pan over medium heat, heat the oil and fry the onion until it is transparent, then add the Herdez® tuna tinga and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and reserve.
On a grill over high heat, grill the nopales on both sides until they are cooked. Remove from heat.
On a plate, place a nopal and spread refried beans, place the tinga of tuna on top, then the lettuce and finish with cream and cheese.
Serve with green sauce and lemon water.

PRESENTATION

Serve in a pewter plate, accompanied by a lemon water.

TIPS

You can substitute the Cotija cheese for Chiapas cheese, if you wish.
