Octopus Ceviche Toasts

Made with octopus and peppers, this ceviche achieves its unique and incomparable flavor thanks to the touch of Salsa Habanera Huichol®, made with rattlesnake, habanero pepper and other spices. Ingredients

4 portions
  • 3 cups octopus, precooked
  • 1/2 cups tomtato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cups coriander, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups red pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups yellow bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups orange bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cups Huichol Habanero® sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 avocados, for guacamole with mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cups mayonnaise, for guacamole with mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cups lemon juice, for guacamole with mayonnaise
  • 1/4 onions, for guacamole with mayonnaise
  • enough coriander, for guacamole with mayonnaise
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • corn tortilla chip , of colors
  • leaves fresh oregano, to decorate

Preparation

In a bowl mix the octopus, the tomato, the onion, the coriander, the oregano, the red pepper, the yellow pepper, the orange pepper, the lemon juice, the Habanera Huichol® sauce, the olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Let stand 1 hour in the refrigerator.
For the guacamole with mayonnaise, crush the avocado in a processor, add the mayonnaise, lemon juice, onion, cilantro, season with salt and pepper.
Spread the guacamole on a toast, add the octopus without the juice, decorate with fresh oregano and serve with Huichol® Habanera Sauce.

PRESENTATION

On colored corn toast, accompanied by guacamole and Huichol® Habanera Sauce.

TIPS

You can add other varieties of seafood if you want it to have more flavor and variety. If you want the guacamole to be spicier, add 1 habanero pepper.
