Ingredients

4 portions
  • 200 grams octopus, in pieces, clean.
  • 4 lemons, just the juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 12 cloves garlic, peeled and cut into slices
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • 4 cups red onion
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 4 allspices
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation

Cook the cleaned octopus pieces until they are soft. The cooking time can vary from 15 to 30 minutes; Take care that they are not hard.
Drain the octopus pieces and remove the skin if necessary. Soak them in lemon juice with garlic, salt and pepper for 15 minutes.
Acitrona in sliced ​​garlic in hot oil, add the octopus chips and fry the preparation. It serves.
For the purple onion: Soak the onion for 10 minutes in boiling water.
Drain and add the juice of sour orange, fat peppers and salt to taste.
Let it rest for at least 15 minutes, warm and serve with the octopus.

PRESENTATION

Serve the pulpitos on a bed of warm purple onion or if you prefer in a platter accompanied by white rice.

TIPS

IMPORTANT: cook the octopus very well. If you do not find sour orange, you can substitute half of sweet orange and half of vinegar.
