Ingredients

6 portions
  • 12 corn tortillas, (preferably fresh)
  • 1 Romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 kilo medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons vegetal oil
  • 1/4 cups chipotle chili, in sauce or puree
  • 1 cup cream
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • to taste black pepper
  • 1 avocado, To accompany

Preparation

In a large skillet heat the vegetable oil and brown 1/2 chopped onion and garlic for 4-5 minutes.
Put the shrimp to cook in oil, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
Add the chipotle and cream to the pan and mix well, cook for 5 more minutes or until the sauce begins to boil.
Season with salt and pepper.
Heat the tortillas in a comal and assemble each taco by first putting a layer of shrimp, then a layer of chopped onion and finally the lettuce.

PRESENTATION

Serve the tacos accompanied by avocado and beans.

TIPS

You can add more or less chipotle chili based on how spicy your dish wants.
