Delicious and simple recipe for shrimp cooked in lemon in a citrus and spicy sauce.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1 kilo shrimp, big
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 1 red onion
  • 15 lemons
  • 1 guajillo chili
  • 1 serrano pepper
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation

Peel and clean the shrimp and place them in a deep dish.
Squeeze the juice of 4 lemons over the shrimp and allow them to soak for 15 minutes.
Rinse the shrimp, pat dry and place in a deep dish.
Peel the cucumbers. Cut one of them into small cubes and add to the plate with the shrimp.
Cut the onion into slices and add to the plate with the shrimp.
Blend the juice of the remaining lemons, the white vinegar, the remaining cucumber and the chilies. Season with salt to taste.
Coat the shrimp with the sauce and allow them to marinate for at least 15 minutes before serving.

PRESENTATION

Serve on a platter and decorate it with red onion and cucumber.

TIPS

Accompany with some toasts and lemons.
