Colorful Sushi

This sushi recipe is perfect to prepare with your children, since they will be able to make the color combinations and thus enjoy their own sushi roll much more. Don't miss out on this colorful sushi!

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 2 cups sushi rice, Cooked
  • 1 tablespoon yellow food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon green food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon blue food coloring
  • 3 leaves nori seaweed
  • 1/2 avocados, in slices
  • 1/2 cups mango, cut into thin slices
  • 1/2 cucumbers, cut into thin strips
  • 1/2 cups cream cheese, cut into thin strips

Preparation

Dilute each food coloring with 4 tablespoons of water. Reservation.
Separate the rice into 4 round ovenware, add two tablespoons of each color to each one, making 4 different colors. Mix and reserve.
Spread the nori sheet on a sushi mat, with the help of a bowl of water, wet your hands and place rows of rice of each color along the seaweed, and compress all the rice very well so that it is even, as shown in the video.
Add the cucumber horizontally, on top of the cheese, avocado and mango over just one corner of the rice.
Fold the roll horizontally, pressing each turn to compact the roll very well. With a knife, cut the sushi into thin slices, first dipping the knife to make it easier to cut, first cut the roll in half, and that half in half and so on. Serve on a plate, accompanied by soy sauce and an iced tea.

PRESENTATION

Serve on a table and place each sushi slightly on top of the other.

TIPS

Wash the rice very well, until the water runs clear, let it drain, boil the rice with water and a tablespoon of vinegar and a tablespoon of sugar over medium heat.
