Grind the fish, salt and pepper in your food processor and if you wish you can add onions and garlic. Incorporate a bit of bread crumbs and form a paste.
Put some flour in your hands and take the mixture, pass it through flour and give it the shape you prefer. You can make little balls that look like popcorn.
Pass the balls through the beaten egg and then the bread crumbs. Repeat this step until you reach the thickness you prefer.
Heat enough oil and fry the nuggets until golden brown on each side, be careful not to burn.
For the marinara sauce: Grind the tomato, garlic, onion and basil and reduce to heat until a paste forms. Put it on a small plate for your children to accompany their nuggets.
