Toasts with Nopales Salad

Try this delicious recipe for cactus toast that is made with tomato, onion, serrano pepper and cilantro with a touch of vinegar to enhance the flavor of your meals.

  • 3 nopales
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1/4 onions
  • 5 grams fresh coriander, a small bunch
  • 3 serrano peppers
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cups white vinegar
  • 1/4 cups olive oil
  • 2 grams salt
  • 100 grams fresh cheese, to decorate
  • 6 fried or toasted corn tortilla
  • 100 grams refried black beans


Chop all the vegetables finely, remember to remove the seeds to the tomato and serrano chili, reserve.
Cook the nopales with water and teaspoon of baking soda for 5 minutes.
Add the chopped vegetables and nopales in a bowl.
Add white vinegar and olive oil, season with salt.
Mix well the preparation.
Sauté the toast with refried beans, put the nopales on top and decorate with fresh cheese.


Sprinkle the fresh cheese and serve in platter.
