We present a recipe for sweet bread that is very traditional in Mexico, they are the delicious donuts. Here you will learn to prepare chocolate donuts and donuts sprinkled with sugar. They are delicious!

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 250 grams White flour
  • 40 grams sugar
  • 5 grams salt
  • 7 grams dry yeast
  • 40 grams butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon liquid vanilla
  • 100 milliliters Water
  • 100 grams chocolate

Preparation

For the donut dough: mix in the blender , flour and yeast. Then add sugar, salt, butter, vanilla egg, and beat at medium speed. Little by little, add water until you obtain an elastic and soft mass.
Grease a small tray, remove the dough from the blender and place it on the tray. Let stand for 30 minutes, approximately, or until doubled in size. Spread a little flour on the table and spread the dough, leaving a thickness of 5 cm. With the cutters, make circles of 10 cm. in diameter and cut the center with a 2 cm cutter.
Flour a tray and place the donuts leaving to rest for 15 or 20 minutes, at room temperature.
Melt shortening in a deep skillet, at medium heat, and fry the donuts on both sides. Remove them from the fat and let cool.
Chop the chocolate in a bowl and microwave it for 15 seconds, until it melts.
Add sugar in a bowl and roll the donuts, if you want them sweetened.
Take the chocolate out of the microwave, mix and cover the donuts you want with chocolate.

PRESENTATION

Accompany with milk or coffee.

TIPS

Sprinkle the donuts with sugar when they are a little hot, so they will stick more sugar.
