Cochinita pibil is one of the typical Mexican recipes of Yucatecan gastronomy. Here we present an easy recipe, with an unparalleled flavor. It is a preparation with a flavor so authentic that you will never forget.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup of Water
  • 1 Cup of Orange juice sour
  • 3 spoonfuls of Apple vinager
  • 100 grams of achiote
  • 1/4 of piece of White onion
  • 1 tooth of Garlic
  • 1 teaspoonful of oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoonful of cumin
  • 20 grams of Salt
  • 11/2 of kilo of Pork Meat in pieces
  • 1 sheet of banana
  • 3 pieces of whole black pepper

    Preparation

    Preheat oven to 190 ° C
    Blend the water with orange juice, vinegar, achiote, onion, garlic, pepper, oregano, cumin and salt.
    Marinade the pork for 30 minutes with the previous preparation and mix perfectly.
    Bake for 30 minutes at 190 ° C.
    Remove the leaves and serve by bathing with the sauce.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve the cochinita in a clay bowl with the banana leaves.
