The recipe for how to make green chilaquiles is perhaps the most basic in any Mexican cuisine. This dish is very easy to make, it is accompanied by cream, cheese and onion, and it will only take you 30 minutes to make. It consists of frying tortillas and then bathing them in a rich green sauce. To make the tortilla chips crisp, we recommend serving the sauce at the moment.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 8 green tomatoes
  • 1/4 onions
  • 4 serrano peppers
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 bunch fresh coriander
  • 2 tablespoons vegetal oil
  • enough tortilla, cut in triangular shape, from the previous day
  • enough vegetal oil, to fry
  • 1 chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • enough cream, To accompany
  • enough fresh cheese, crumbled to accompany
  • enough onion, filleted

Preparation

In a pot with boiling water, cook the green tomatoes, onion and chiles for 5 minutes.
Grind the ingredients you cooked with the garlic and cilantro, until you get a smooth texture.
In a pan, add the vegetable oil and fry the sauce, cook for 5 minutes and reserve.
For the tortilla chips: first heat a deep pan and then heat enough oil to fry the tortilla chips for 3 minutes.
For assembly: Place a base with the tortilla chips, the shredded chicken and add the hot sauce on top. Accompany with cream, cheese and filleted onion. Enjoy

PRESENTATION

They are accompanied with cream, cheese and onion.

TIPS

Serve the sauce instantly to get a crunchier texture on the tortilla chips, if desired.
