Consume your whole family preparing these pork mixiotes with a spicy marinade of cumin, oregano and the subtle flavor of the avocado leaf, mixed with a combination of vegetables, which make them very nutritious and delicious.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1/3 cups vinegar
  • 3 guajillo chilies, deveined and soaked
  • 2 ancho chili peppers, deveined and soaked
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 onions
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 kilo Pork Meat, pulp
  • 1 1/2 cups nopal, cut into strips
  • 1 cup mushroom, cut in quarters
  • 2 xoconostle, cut in half and without seed
  • 1/4 cups onion, cut in pen
  • to taste avocado leaves
  • enough leaves for mixiote

Preparation

For the sauce, liquefy the vinegar, the guajillo chile, the ancho chile, the garlic, the onion, the cumin, the oregano and season with salt.
Pour over the pork and marinate for 30 min.
In a bowl mix the nopales, the mushrooms, the xoconostle and the onion, season with salt.
In a leaf for mixiote, place an avocado leaf, add meat and the mixture of vegetarians. Close with a hemp thread.
Place the mixiotes on the rack in a steamer and cook for 1 hour or until the meat is cooked. Serve immediately.

PRESENTATION

On an extended plate accompanied by vegetables.

TIPS

If you can not find a sheet for mixiote, you can replace it with aluminum foil or waxed paper.
