If you are a taco lover, but you are looking for a healthier recipe, we will show you how to make delicious mushroom tacos, which you can prepare at home and made without meat but with orange juice and soy milk. You can serve these delicious mushroom tacos with the classic garnish of chopped onion, cilantro, salsa and lemon. Just as traditional tacos, this recipe with oyster mushrooms can give you a flavor similar to that of the popular "carnitas", since among the ingredients you need are: laurel, coriander seeds, coriander root, clove. Said condiments are used to prepare the traditional carnitas made with pork meat and seasoned in its own fat, with evaporated milk, orange juice and spices in large copper pots.

Ingredients

4 servings
  • 2 spoonfuls of vegetable shortening
  • 3 cups of mushroom
  • 1/4 of piece of White onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 piece of orange
  • 2 spoonfuls of White vinegar
  • 1/4 of Cup of soy milk
  • 3 pieces of allspices
  • 1 tablespoon of sea salt
  • 2 leaves of laurel
  • 5 pieces of coriander seed
  • 1/4 of Cup of strong root of coriander
  • 3 pieces of clove
  • 1 Cup of Water
  • enough of oil
  • enough of Corn tortillas
  • 1/4 of Cup of onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 of Cup of coriander finely chopped
  • enough of sauce to accompany
  • enough of green lemon to accompany

    Preparation

    In a saucepan over medium heat melt the shortening and add the oyster mushrooms, onion, garlic, orange, white vinegar, soy milk, allspice, coarse salt, bay leaf, coriander seeds, coriander root, clove, and water. Mix and cook at high temperature for 15 minutes stirring from time to time. Strain.
    In a pan fry the mushrooms with oil until golden brown. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
    In a cutting board chop the oyster mushroom in small pieces.
    Heat the corn tortillas and serve the mushrooms as tacos. Garnish with onion, cilantro, salsa, and lemon. Enjoy.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve in a corn tortilla with onion, cilantro, salsa, and lemon.

    TIPS

    The preparation of butter, with soy milk, vinegar, and spices will help your mushrooms to caramelize in a uniform way.
