"Steak" Vegetarian Wellington

The Wellington steak is a classic recipe of English cuisine, now we bring you a version of ingredients such as mushrooms, spinach, walnuts and almonds, which together balance a perfect combination of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 spoonfuls of olive oil
  • 1/4 of piece of onion finely chopped
  • 1 tooth of Garlic finely chopped
  • 2 cups of spinach finely chopped
  • 3 cups of mushroom cut into sheets
  • 1/3 of Cup of nut finely chopped
  • 1/3 of Cup of almond finely chopped
  • 1 branch of thyme chopped
  • 500 grams of puff pastry
  • enough of flour
  • 1 piece of egg
  • to taste of salt and pepper

    Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
    In a pan over medium heat heat the oil; cook the onion with the garlic. Add spinach and mushrooms. Cook until the liquid is reduced. Add the nuts and almonds, season with salt, pepper and thyme. Reserve and let cool.
    On a floured surface spread the puff pastry, cut to the size of a rectangle of 20 x 30 cm, add the previous filling closes, varnish with egg and decorate with puff pastry.
    Place on a tray and bake about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Slice and serve.

    PRESENTATION

    On an extended plate, accompanied by wheat germ.

    TIPS

    It is important to reduce the juices of mushrooms and spinach very well so that the puff pastry does not soak.
