Ingredients

10 portions
  • 100 grams oats, Cooked
  • 100 grams amaranth, Cooked
  • 1/2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1/2 cups bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 morita chili peppers, deveined and hydrated
  • 1/4 onions, for the caldillo
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 clove garlic

Preparation

Drain oatmeal, amaranth and reserve.
Mix oats, amaranth, onion, cilantro and peppers with the egg.
Form pelotitas with the mixture (I put them to fry a little in butter so they do not lose their shape).
Blend the tomato sauce with the onion, garlic and morita pepper.
Tail the sauce and cook for 5 minutes in a saucepan, season to taste.
Add the meatballs and cook 2 more minutes.

PRESENTATION

You can serve them with a little white rice.

TIPS

If you like you can serve the meatballs and bathe with the caldillo to not over cook them.
