Try this delicious baked ham recipe with a rich apricot jam that makes it irresistible. It is accompanied with some delicious caramelized onions with a spicy touch that you will love.

Ingredients

10 portions
  • 1 leg ham, smoked
  • 1 cup pitted green olive , finely chopped
  • 1 cup almond, peeled
  • 1 cup raisin
  • 20 cambray onions, without tail
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cups Water
  • 5 tablespoons Huichol Picante® sauce
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 190 ° C.
Drill the leg ham, stuffed with olives, almonds, raisins with a wooden stick for corn.
Mix in a bowl the melted butter, the apricot jam and cover the ham with this mixture. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the ham from the oven, remove the aluminum foil and bathe again with the jam. Bake for 20 more minutes.
Heat the butter in a deep skillet over medium heat, add the onions, sugar, water, spicy Huichol sauce and cook for 20 minutes or until the onions are soft. Be careful not to move too much so as not to break them.

PRESENTATION

Serve in a tray at the center of the table, slicing the ham.

TIPS

You can accompany with mashed potatoes.
