A classic baked pork leg for the Christmas dinner. This marinated pork is a rich and good option for the Christmas dinner in which you do not want to eat turkey and change the menu for something equally delicious. Its rich aroma will permeate the entire house when baked. You'll love it.

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 1 pork leg, without skin
  • 2 beers, 325 ml each
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon bay (laurel)
  • to taste black pepper

Preparation

The leg is cleaned very well and the skin and fat are removed.
In a blender mix beer with onion, garlic, thyme, bay leaf, seasonings, salt and pepper.
The marinade is injected into the leg (approximately 20 injections).
Then, pour the rest of the marinade over the leg and let it marinate for 3 days before cooking.
It wraps very well in aluminum foil and puts it in the hot oven for about 3 hours depending on the size of the leg.
It is accompanied with spicy applesauce.

TIPS

This recipe must be started 3 days in advance to marinate the leg.
