One of the typical Mexican dishes that is, without a doubt, is this recipe from Beef Tinga. You can serve this dish on any day and any time of the year or especially during patriotic celebrations. To prepare this easy recipe for Tinga de Res, use chipotle chili, which will give you a better taste. And remember that it is perfect to serve on toast or in tacos.

Ingredients

4 servings
  • enough of Water to cook the meat
  • enough of Salt
  • 1/4 of piece of onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 500 grams of flank steak
  • 1/4 of piece of onion for the caldillo
  • 2 cloves of garlic for the caldillo
  • 4 pieces of tomato for the caldillo
  • 1/4 of Cup of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce ground or whole, for the caldillo
  • 1 Cup of beef broth for the caldillo
  • 2 spoonfuls of vegetable oil
  • 1 piece of onion filleted
  • enough of salt and pepper
  • enough of red onion filleted, to decorate
  • enough of coriander to decorate
  • enough of fresh cheese crumbled, to decorate
  • enough of Corn tortillas To accompany
  • enough of sour cream To accompany

    Preparation

    In a saucepan over medium heat, heat the water with the salt and cook the meat with the onion and garlic until it is soft, about 30 minutes. Reserve the broth, remove the meat and crumble.
    For the caldillo, blend the onion with the garlic, the tomato, the chipotle chile and the beef broth. Season with salt and pepper.
    In a deep pan over medium heat, heat the oil and add the onion. When it is bright, add the caldillo and let it boil, cook for about 15 minutes.
    Add the meat, season and cook 10 minutes more.
    Serve the tinga and decorate with purple onion, cilantro, fresh cheese and accompany with corn tortillas.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve on a plate with purple onion, cilantro and fresh cheese. Accompany with corn tortillas.

    TIPS

    The beef skirt comes from the abdominal area of the animal. It is used often for slow cooking stews because it tends to be tougher than other cuts, however it is very tasty.
