Meatballs with Rice and Potatoes

Prepare this delicious recipe of meatballs in broth accompanied with rice and potatoes. A perfect dish to enjoy home cooking. Do not wait any longer and allow everyone at home.

Ingredients

6 servings
  • 500 grams of ground beef
  • 1 piece of egg
  • 5 cups of rice
  • 3 pieces of tomato chopped
  • 1 piece of onion finely chopped
  • 3 pieces of potato chopped
  • 1 bunch of coriander finely chopped
  • 2 spoonfuls of olive oil
  • to taste of salt and pepper
  • 1 clove of garlic ground
  • to taste of oregano
  • to taste of cumin

    Preparation

    In a pot, fry the onion in two tablespoons of olive oil until golden brown.
    Add the tomatoes and fry until they are soft.
    Add 2 liters of water and bring to a boil.
    In a bowl, mix the ground meat with the egg, half the rice, half the cilantro and season with salt, pepper, garlic and oregano.
    Form the meatballs from 5 to 6 cms. in diameter and reserve.
    In the boiling water, add the meatballs one by one and let them boil again for 10 min.
    Add the rice, potatoes and the rest of the cilantro; Season with salt, pepper, garlic, oregano and cumin to taste.
    Let simmer until the potatoes and rice are done.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve in a deep dish.

    TIPS

    Accompany with corn tortillas.
