This Honduran dish, easy to make can also be prepared with chicken or pork; with a tasty bittersweet taste.

Ingredients

6 portions

  • 1 kilo tomtato, ripe and firm in slices
  • 2 onions, large sliced
  • 4 plantain, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cups almond, peeled and in halves throughout
  • 1/2 tablespoons ground black pepper
  • 1 cup Water

Preparation

In a saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat, add the meat in pieces and salt for 10 minutes or until the meat browns, spread it to cover the bottom of the pan.
Lower the flame, and put on top of the meat a layer of onion slices, a layer of tomato slices, a layer of sliced ​​plantain, and finish by distributing the almonds over the top and add a cup of water.
Cover the pan and boil for 20 minutes. Taking care not to dry; If necessary add a little more hot water.
