In this recipe, the beef chamorro is prepared with an achiote sauce with orange, garlic, marjoram and cooked in banana leaves wrapped in aluminum foil in the oven.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 4 meat shank, in slices
  • 1 small box annatto
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 pinch marjoram
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • banana leaf
  • salt

Preparation

Blend the achiote, orange juice, garlic, oil, marjoram, salt and pepper.
Wash the chamorro and then put it in a container, together with the liquefied achiote and let it rest for 30 to 60 minutes.
Cut squares of aluminum foil and place a roasted banana leaf. Put a piece of chamorro and chilito de achiote, wrap and place in a refractory mold.
Bake at 180 degrees Celsius until cooked (the time depends on the thickness of the meat).

TIPS

Serve along with rice and corn tortillas.

Muy buena esta receta solo que si uno no tiene hojas de plátano se podría hacer solo con aluminio

Me encantan las recetas de carne al horno Es muy facil y ensucias poco al hacerlo todo en el horno. Queda muy rico servido en taquitos.
