Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1 whole chicken
  • 500 grams smoked bacon, in strips
  • 6 tablespoons agave honey
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoons fresh thyme, finely chopped
  • 1/4 oranges, cut into slices
  • enough mixed vegetable

Preparation

Prepare your Weber® grill for indirect medium fire (350º - 450ºF or 175º - 232ºC) with 2 zone fire.
In a bowl, mix the thyme and rosemary, reserve. Clean the chicken thoroughly and dry it completely with a paper napkin. Cover the chicken with the thyme and rosemary mixture, fill the chicken with the slices of orange.
Wrap the chicken with the bacon slices, varnish the whole surface with honey and sprinkle with black pepper. Place the chicken on the Weber® poultry grill and add the vegetables around it.
Place the chicken on the grill, over indirect medium heat, for 60 to 80 minutes or until the internal temperature is 170ºF or 76ºC in the thigh taking care not to touch the bone.
Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 15 minutes before cutting. Serve with vegetables.
