Chicken Tinga in Green Sauce

If you want to give an interesting twist to a traditional recipe, this recipe for Tinga de Pollo en Salsa Verde is a great option for an economical and rewarding dish. The best thing about preparing this easy recipe is that you can prepare it in a pan, but you must make sure that the tomatoes are well cooked so that the green sauce does not get so acidic.

Ingredients

4 servings
  • enough of Water
  • 800 grams of chicken breast whole, with bone and without the skin
  • 1/4 of piece of onion
  • 1/2 head of garlic
  • 1/4 of bunch of coriander
  • enough of Salt
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1/2 piece of onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 8 pieces of green tomato
  • 4 pieces of serrano pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of cumin
  • 3 pieces of allspices
  • 1/2 Cup of coriander
  • 1 Cup of chicken soup
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1 piece of onion filleted
  • enough of avocado in a fan, to decorate
  • enough of parsley to decorate

    Preparation

    In a pot, with water cook the chicken with the onion, garlic, cilantro and salt until cooked. Remove and reserve the broth.
    On a table shred the chicken. Reserve.
    In a deep pan, heat the oil and cook the onion, garlic, tomatoes, serrano pepper, cumin, pepper, cilantro until they change color. Fill with the chicken broth and cook until the vegetables are dissolved and the liquid is reduced. Cool slightly
    Blend the previous preparation until a sauce is obtained.
    In a saucepan heat the oil and cook the sliced onion until bright, add the chicken and cook for 5 minutes. Pour the sauce. Let it boil and cook for 10 more minutes. Season to your liking
    Serve the tinga and decorate with avocado and parsley leaves. Accompany with beans and corn tortillas.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve with beans and corn tortillas.

    TIPS

    Cook your tomatoes well so that the green sauce does not become acidic.
