Chicken with Apple

This apple chicken has a mixture of vegetables such as broccoli, carrot and celery, so it is ideal for any day of the week and its sweet and sour taste will delight you. It's a chicken stir fry with Gala Washington® Apples and sweet and sour vegetables. If you thought that the apple was only for desserts, you have to try this apple chicken, you will change your mind.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 700 grams chicken breast, boneless
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder, for the marinade
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder, for the marinade
  • to taste salt, for the marinade
  • to taste black pepper, for the marinade
  • 1 tablespoon paprika, for the marinade
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary, fresh, for the marinade
  • 1 tablespoon oregano, dry, for marinade
  • 1/2 cups orange juice, seedless, for marinade
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, for the marinade
  • 3 Washington® apple gala
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cups celery, skewed into small pieces
  • 1/2 cups carrot, skewed into small pieces
  • 1/2 cups broccoli, in small trees
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon liquid seasoning
  • 1 cup chicken soup
  • 2 tablespoons raw sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch, previously hydrated
  • enough rosemary, to decorate

Preparation

For the marinade, in a bowl place the chicken breasts and season them with the onion powder, the garlic powder, the salt, the pepper, the paprika, the rosemary and the oregano, add the orange juice and the olive oil , mix and marinate for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
In a pan melt the butter, place the chicken and cook 2 minutes on each side, pour in a little of the marinade juice, cover and cook the chicken for 25 minutes at medium low heat. Once the cooking time has passed, reserve.
On a short board the Gala Washington® Apples in half moons, remember to remove the core.
For the sauce, pour the olive oil in a pan and cook the onion, garlic, ginger, celery, carrot and broccoli; Add the soy sauce, the seasoning juice and the chicken broth, cook for 5 minutes. Add the muscovado sugar, cornstarch and Gala Washington® Apples, cook for 6 more minutes, or until the vegetables are soft and the sauce has thickened. Place the chicken breast pieces and cook 5 more minutes.
Serve the chicken and bathe with the sauce and vegetables. Garnish with rosemary.

PRESENTATION

Serve a bed of apple sauce, place the breast and bathe with the same sauce, decorate with rosemary.

TIPS

To prevent the chicken breast from drying out when cooked with the butter, you can add a little chicken broth.
