This chicken with slices is a homemade stew that consists of a tomato sauce with chicken and poblano pepper slices. It is easy to prepare, it can be eaten in small cubes and you can enjoy them at any time of the day.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • enough Water
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1/4 onions
  • 1 garlic
  • 2 serrano peppers
  • enough vegetal oil
  • 2 cups potato, cut into small cubes
  • 1 cup onion, filleted
  • 3 cups chicken breast, in large cubes (wire type)
  • 2 branches thyme
  • 2 leaves bay (laurel)
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • enough vegetal oil
  • 3 cups poblano pepper slice
  • enough white rice, To accompany
  • enough tortilla, To accompany

Preparation

Cook the tomato, onion, garlic and serrano pepper for 5 minutes in boiling water.
Blend the vegetables that you cooked for 3 minutes.
Heat a skillet over medium heat, add vegetable oil and the potatoes, cook over low heat until completely golden for about 8 minutes, remove from the pan.
In the same pan that you used to cook the potatoes, add more vegetable oil and pour the onions and chicken, fry for about 8 min.
Add the tomato sauce, potatoes, poblano slices, bay leaf and thyme, cook for 15 minutes to integrate the flavors and the sauce to thicken.
Serve the chicken with white rice and tortillas.

TIPS

Cut the potatoes into small pieces so that they cook completely in the pan, if not, finish cooking in the stew.
