This is a rich and simple recipe of chicken breasts with artichokes that you can prepare any day of the week. It's an Italian dish.

Preparation
Remove the hard leaves from the artichokes and cut the ends. Peel the stems. Place in a bowl of water with lemon juice to prevent discoloration.
Cut the artichokes into thin slices and place in a pot with the oil, salt, garlic and pepper. Cover with at least 3 and a half cups of water. Cover the pot and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes.
Put the chicken breasts in the part of the pot, along with the artichokes and after 2 minutes, add the wine and continue cooking. (Note: be careful not to burn the artichokes).
When the chicken is cooked, remove from the pot and cut into slices.
Serve with the artichokes and season with salt and additional pepper. Serve hot.
