Chicken in Tomato Sauce with Frying Pan

Chicken recipes are usually our favorites because they are practical for any day of the week, so this is one more for you to add to your favorite collection, because tomato sauce is a different and healthy option to accompany this meal. The recipe is designed with typical Mediterranean ingredients to give it a twist, but they are very easy to get.

  • 3 tablespoons vegetal oil
  • 3 chicken breasts, in half
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 cups roma tomato , chopped into small cubes
  • 1 cup Red wine, for the sauce
  • 1 bunch basil, clean and rustic rustic
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • enough basil leaf, to decorate
  • enough parmesan cheese, To accompany


Season the chicken with enough salt and pepper, heat the oil over medium heat and seal the breasts; Turn down the heat, cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes. Reservation.
For the sauce: heat over low heat the olive oil in the pan and add the garlic, cook for 1 minute and add the tomato, then season with salt and pepper.
Turn the heat to medium heat, add the red wine, basil and cook for 5 more minutes.
Add the breasts and cook for 10 minutes, until finished cooking.
Serve the chicken with the sauce, decorate with basil leaves and accompany with Parmesan cheese.
