Ingredients

8 portions
  • 8 oranges, just the juice
  • 1 cup Pineapple in syrup
  • 1/4 onions, in pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cups soy sauce
  • 1/2 cups raw sugar
  • 1/3 cups apple vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cups bee honey
  • 1 orange, zest
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 smoked ham
  • 20 whole cloves
  • enough basil leaf, to decorate

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
In the T-fal® InfinyForce blender, blend the orange juice with pineapple, onion and garlic with the “sauce” function. Reservation.
In a saucepan over low heat, pour the soy sauce and add the muscovado sugar, apple cider vinegar, dijon mustard, honey, ginger, and orange zest. Let reduce until it has a thick consistency.
Place the ham in a tray and make cuts diagonally, until you get some diamonds embedded cloves.
Spread the ham with the sweet and sour orange sauce and bake for 1 hour.
Garnish with slices of orange and fresh basil.

PRESENTATION

Accompany with mashed potatoes.

TIPS

Glaze constantly during baking to get better flavor and color.
