The meatballs are a classic dish for the day to day. This recipe of meatballs with tomato sauce and a touch of chipotle is perfect for lunchtime. Accompany them with white rice or beans.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 400 grams ground beef
  • 1/4 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cups ground bread
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 3 tomatoes, for the caldillo
  • 60 grams onion, for the caldillo
  • 1 garlic, tooth for the caldillo
  • 2 tablespoons chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, for the caldillo
  • 1 cup chicken soup, for the caldillo
  • 1 teaspoon salt, for the caldillo

Preparation

In a bowl, mix the meat with onion, cilantro, egg, salt and bread crumbs. Form the meatballs.
In a pan over medium heat, heat the oil and seal the meatballs. Reservation.
For the caldillo, blend all the ingredients except salt.
Fry the caldillo in the same pan of the meatballs and cook over low heat and cover for 20 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked. Season with salt

PRESENTATION

Accompany with white rice.

TIPS

You can put egg or sausage in the center of the meatballs.
