Ingredients

8 portions
  • 1/2 kilos pork tenderloin, without bone and in pieces
  • 10 nopales cambray, Tender
  • 1/2 kilos White potato, median
  • 50 grams guajillo chili
  • 300 grams Hunt's ® Original BBQ Sauce
  • 1/2 onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • to taste salt
  • enough leaves for mixiote
  • enough hemp twine

Preparation

Use a saucepan, steamer or an express pot. Pre warms water; the necessary for bain-marie.
Wash perfectly the nopalitos, drain them and cut them in squares.
Wash the potatoes perfectly and cut them into slices.
Wash and unripe the guajillo chilies, once done this, cook them in little water, leaving them to boil for approximately 5 minutes.
Blend the guajillo chiles (previously cooked), the tomato, the garlic, the cumin, the onion and the Hunt's ® Original BBQ Sauce, add 1/2 glass of water.
Blend all the ingredients until you get a uniform appearance.
Stretch the mixiote leaf and place some pieces of meat at the center with some slices of potatoes, cut nopalitos and salt to taste (the portion placed will depend on the size of the leaf).
Bathe the meat with the previously prepared sauce.
Close the maguey leaf and tie tightly with thread to prevent runoff.
Place the mixiotes inside the express pot (or whatever is being used) in a bain-marie and cover.
Kitchen 40 min. approximately.

PRESENTATION

Preferably accompany the dish with rice, beans and tortillas.

TIPS

Use to better taste maguey leaf, in case it is difficult to get it, use paper-type sheets that are available in the stores of raw materials and at very low cost.

Es mejor el papel mixiote, que la bolsa de plasticoy mas ecologico. El hilo de algodon tambien es mejor que el cañamo..
