Hot Dog Poblano and Salsa de Tomatillo

Ingredients

6 servings
  • 2 spoonfuls of olive oil
  • 2 pieces of poblano pepper in rajas
  • 1 piece of onion in slices
  • 6 pieces of sausage those of your preference
  • 1 Cup of green sauce
  • 1/2 Cup of fresh coriander finely chopped
  • 6 pieces of hot dog bread
  • 2 ounces of monterrey cheese Spicy jack in thin slices
  • Cotija cheeses or crumbled feta cheese

    Preparation

    Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the slices of poblano pepper and onion, add salt to taste and cook until the onion is smoked and the slices are soft, about 10 minutes.
    Reserve the chili and in the same pan heat the sausages adding water to cover them. Let the water boil and cook for 5 minutes.
    Besides, combine green sauce with cilantro.
    Preheat an electric oven at medium temperature. Place a sausage inside a pan for hot dog. Place them on a tray with waxed paper and cover with slices of Monterey cheese.
    Bake until the cheese melts. Take out the oven, add a little of the onion preparation you made to each hot dog, add a little of the sauce and sprinkle the cheese you have chosen.
