  • 10 nopal cambray, Tender
  • 1/2 kilos potato, median
  • 50 grams guajillo chili
  • 300 grams Hunt´S ® original bbq sauce
  • 1/2 onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin

Preparation

Use a saucepan, steamer, or pressure cooker. Preheat water; the necessary for a water bath.
Wash the nopalitos perfectly, drain them and cut them into squares.
Thoroughly wash the potatoes and cut them into slices.
Wash and devein the guajillo chiles, once this is done, cook them in a little water, letting them boil for approximately 5 minutes.

Spread the mixiote leaf and place in the center some pieces of meat with some potato slices, cut nopalitos and salt to taste (the portion placed will depend on the size of the leaf).
Bathe the meat with the previously prepared sauce.
Close the maguey leaf and tie tightly with string to avoid runoff.
Place the mixiotes in the express pot (or whatever is being used) in a double boiler and cover.
Cook 40 min. about.

PRESENTATION

Preferably accompany the dish with rice, beans and tortillas.

TIPS

Use maguey leaf for a better flavor, in case it is difficult to get it, use paper-type leaves that are available in raw material stores and at very low cost.

Es mejor el papel mixiote, que la bolsa de plasticoy mas ecologico. El hilo de algodon tambien es mejor que el cañamo..
