Ingredients

8 portions

  • 1/2 kilos vegetable shortening
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 beer
  • sausages, of soybeans or the one of your preference
  • 1 egg, to varnish

Preparation

For the dough: We sift all the dry ingredients: flour and salt. Mix with the butter and undo it with your fingers until it crumbles and has a sandy consistency. We emptied the beer and formed a soft paste.
Fry the chorizo ​​and let it cool. If we do not want to fill our sausage empanadas, we make our filling at this moment. It can even be something sweet like jam.
With the help of a rolling pin, spread the dough and cut with a circular cutter. Fill the empanadas and fold. With a fork we close the edge of our empanada so that it does not open at the time of baking and it also serves as an ornament.
We preheat the oven to 175-200 ° C. Arrange the empanadas in a greased and floured tray. Varnish with the egg and bake until golden brown.

PRESENTATION

Being careful not to burn ourselves, we serve them in a basket or platter and ready, to enjoy our snack.
