Prepare this easy and practical stew with beef fillet tips, which we gave a special touch with pineapple in syrup and jalapeño pepper, and which will be an excellent option for family meals.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 kilo beef tips, cut into cubes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • oregano
  • thyme
  • 2 allspice berries
  • 2 cups potato cambray, quartered and cooked
  • 2 container Del Fuerte® seasoned tomato puree, 210 grams
  • 1 cup Pineapple in syrup, diced
  • 1 jalapeño chile, fresh, sliced
  • 2 bay
  • tortilla, To accompany
  • black beans, To accompany

Preparation

In a saucepan over medium heat heat the oil and sauté the onion until it changes color slightly, add the garlic and the beef tips, season with salt, pepper, oregano, thyme, and allspice and cook for 10 minutes; then add the chambray potatoes and cook for 5 more minutes, pour in the seasoned Del Fuerte® tomato puree, cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes.
Add the pineapple in syrup, the jalapeño pepper, the bay leaves and cook for 5 more minutes. Remove from heat and reserve.
Serve in a deep plate accompanied by black beans and tortillas.

You can substitute the beef tips for steaks, which will make the meat easier to cook.
