Bacon Glazed Turkey Breast

This recipe for turkey breast with apple is everything that your Christmas dinner needed to be a success, because it is wrapped in delicious bacon and glazed with a honey and mustard sauce. Preparing this glaze will be very simple with your Vitamix®, as you will see that there are no spills when you mix hot preparations. Remember to varnish the bacon constantly with the glaze during baking, so that it is very bright and perfect.

Ingredients

8 portions
  • 1/2 cups butter, for the glaze
  • 3 cloves garlic, for the glaze
  • 1 onion, cut into pieces, for glaze
  • 1 cup orange juice, for the glaze
  • 1 cup tangerine segment, for the glaze
  • 1 cup white wine, for the glaze
  • 1 cup honey, for the glaze
  • 1 twig thyme, for the glaze
  • 1 twig rosemary, for the glaze
  • 1/4 cups Dijon mustard, for the glaze
  • 1 Turkey breast, 2-3 kilos
  • 3 apples, diced
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 20 slices bacon
  • apples, cut into slices, to decorate
  • mandarin segments, to decorate

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
For the glaze, heat a pot over medium heat with the butter and cook the garlic with the onion until they are transparent; add orange juice, mandarin segments, white wine, honey, thyme, rosemary and Dijon mustard.
Cook the sauce until you get a semi-thick syrup, remove from cooking and blend in your Vitamix® until you get a smooth glaze. Reservation.
On a table and with the help of a knife, wick the turkey with apples, as shown in the video. Season with salt and pepper.
Arrange the bacon slices on a tray with foil and place the turkey breast. Wrap with bacon and close the paper tightly. Bake for 45 minutes or until almost cooked.
Remove the turkey breast from the oven, unwrap and varnish the bacon with the glaze, return to the oven until you get a perfect glaze and the breast is fully cooked.
Cut into slices and arrange them on a plate, decorate with apple and tangerine segments.

PRESENTATION

Serve on a plate decorated with segments of apple and tangerine.
