Prepare this original recipe for BBQ Turkey, a crispy turkey stuffed with vegetables with the traditional BBQ sauce and a glaze made with beer. If you want to change the typical turkey recipe for the Christmas Eve dinner or eat it even though it is no longer Christmas, this is the perfect preparation. The best thing about this BBQ Turkey is that, being filled with butter, the meat is very juicy and soft. Enjoy this original preparation, you can accompany it with french fries or a healthy salad. Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, for butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, for butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, for butter
  • 1 tablespoon sage, fresh, for butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, for butter
  • 1 natural turkey
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce, for the glaze reduction
  • 2 tablespoons honey, for the glaze
  • 1 cup raw sugar, for the glaze
  • 1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce, for the glaze
  • 4 tablespoons English sauce, for the glaze
  • 1/2 cups balsamic vinegar, for the glaze
  • 1/4 cups Water, for the glaze
  • 1 cup beer, double stout, for the glaze
  • 3 cloves garlic, for the glaze
  • 1/2 onions, for the glaze, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cups mustard, for the glaze
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, powder, for the glaze
  • 1 cup celery, for the filling
  • 2 apples, for the filling
  • 1/2 cups cranberry , for the filling
  • 1/2 cups onion, for the filling
  • 2 cups bread, golden and cut into cubes, for filling
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped
  • enough chinese parsley, to decorate
  • enough cherries, to decorate
  • enough orange, cut in half moons, to decorate

Preparation

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the rosemary, thyme, sage, garlic and cook for 5 minutes until you have a flavored butter. Allow to cool slightly and reserve.
With the help of a turkey syringe, inject the turkey with the flavored butter. Set aside.
For the glaze, cook the bbq sauce with the honey, the muscovado sugar, the tabasco sauce, the English sauce, the balsamic vinegar, the water, the beer, the garlic, the onion, the mustard and the thyme around 20 minutes or until a thick mixture is made. Let cool and reserve.
On your Victorinox® Allrounder cutting board, peel the apple with the help of your Victorinox® peeler and cut into medium cubes with your Swiss Classic kitchen knife
For the filling, in a bowl mix the celery, the apple, the blueberries, the onion, the bread and the parsley. Fill the turkey and tie.
Preheat the oven to 180 °C. C357 °F)
With a brush glaze the turkey with the previous glaze sauce and bake for 4 hours or until it is cooked.
Garnish with parsley, cherries and orange

TIPS

It is important to use a double beer stout, to have a more consistent glaze. When you inject butter to the turkey, in addition to moisturizing the meat, you soften it.
