Turkey Stuffed with Datil and Blueberries

If you do not want to gain kilos during this Christmas, choose to prepare your favorite dishes in a healthy way, so you will not have anything to worry about. If you do not have the time or desire to cook a whole turkey, choose to use only the breast.

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 1 Turkey, (or a turkey breast) 3-4 Kg already clean and empty inside
  • 1 apple, in cubes with shell
  • 50 grams raisin
  • 50 grams blueberry
  • 250 grams date, finely chopped
  • 6 Turkey sausage
  • 1/2 onions, finely chopped
  • salt, to taste
  • 4 peppers blend, to taste

Preparation

The filling is prepared. Instead of finely chopping the ingredients, a food processor can be used, but be careful not to grind too much.
While the filling is finished, rub the turkey or breast with olive oil. Once ready, it is filled. In case of cooking a breast it is necessary to flatten it, fill it and roll it up. Season with salt and pepper.
If there is a filling, meatballs can be made with it and placed around the turkey on the tray.
It is baked at 180ºC, bathing with its juice every hour. You may need a little chicken broth. The last half hour bake uncovered to brown.
The baking time depends on several factors, so it must be constantly revised. On average a turkey of 3 kg is baked in 2 hours and one of 4 kg in 4 ½ hours.

Serve in slices.
