Green Pozole with McCormick® Chicken Broth

We present a very traditional recipe from the state of Guerrero. A delicious green pozole, which is so easy to make that you will not believe it; simply add the ingredients and add a little McCormick® Chicken Broth. This preparation is ideal for rainy days or for when you feel like eating this delicious Mexican dish. Enjoy it with your family!

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 2 cubes McCormick® Chicken Broth
  • 500 grams hominy
  • 500 grams Pork Meat
  • 2 garlic
  • 2 leaves dry laurel
  • 1 tablespoon whole black pepper
  • 8 green tomatoes
  • 2 serrano peppers
  • 2 branches fresh epazote
  • 5 branches fresh coriander
  • 2 tablespoons oregano
  • 2 tablespoons McCormick® Ground Cumin
  • 3 lemons, for the garnish
  • 2 avocados, for the garnish
  • 1/4 lettuce, filleted for garnish
  • 1 1/4 cups onion, chopped for garnish
  • 1 cup radish, for the garnish
  • 1 can sardine, for the garnish

Preparation

Cook the corn with the pork, garlic, laurel and pepper in a pot with enough water. Add the two tablespoons of McCormick® Chicken Broth
Blend green tomatoes with serrano pepper, epazote, cilantro, oregano and McCormick® Ground Cumin.
Add to the cooking of corn. Cook the preparation for 30 minutes.
Serve accompanied by the garnish.

PRESENTATION

The green pozole is accompanied with sardines, chicharrón, avocado, lettuce and radish.

TIPS

You can use solid pork to prepare the pozole, or if you want a lighter version, use chicken.
